Billy Nichols is a Broker Associate and co-owner at Dunes Realty, where his family has owned and operated the company since 1969. 

For Billy, Dunes Realty has always been more than a business.  He began working with the company during high school summers in the Unit Services Department, delivering linens, helping with vacation rental needs, and doing whatever was necessary to help guests enjoy their time at the beach.  When he was not working, Billy was usually on the beaches of Garden City and Surfside Beach or in the creeks of Murrells Inlet. Whether fishing, water skiing, wakeboarding, or spending time with friends at "The Point," Billy grew up with a firsthand appreciation for the South Strand lifestyle.  Billy continued working at Dunes during college while earning his finance degree from Wofford College. He later earned a master’s degree in Real Estate Development from Clemson University, with coursework in finance, law, construction management, architecture, and city and regional planning.  After graduating from Clemson, he moved to Charleston, where he spent two years in commercial retail leasing. 

In 2010, Billy returned home to join the family business.  Since then, he has remained active in both real estate sales and the vacation rental side of Dunes Realty.  His background in finance, development, commercial leasing, vacation rentals, and local residential sales gives clients a practical perspective on property value, ownership, and long-term potential.  Billy is also involved in the local community. He has served with the Rotary Club of Murrells Inlet, including as Past President, the Coastal Carolina Association of REALTORS® Legislative Committee, and the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce South Strand Council.  One of the most meaningful parts of Billy's life is The Annie Banannie Foundation, which he and his wife, Kelsey, started to help fund pediatric traumatic brain injury research at MUSC Children’s Hospital.  Billy and Kelsey live in Murrells Inlet with their children, Annie and Billy, and their black labs, Wally & Woodie.
